Craiganour Estate

Sporting estate Scotland

Sporting estate Scotland

Craiganour is a sporting estate Scotland covering around 21,000 acres.

Located on the north side of Loch Rannoch in Highland Perthshire, Craiganour is a superb sporting estate Scotland which offers stalking for red deer stags and hinds, walked-up grouse shooting, plus fly fishing for brown trout.

Although we are sometimes able to offer deer stalking, grouse shooting and fishing to individuals and groups not staying at our property, Craiganour Lodge, our priority is of course to our guests. And, in any case, staying at Craiganour Lodge makes your experience complete, as it provides the opportunity to experience the luxury and privacy which comes with spending time in a grand Victorian hunting lodge.

Craiganour Sporting Estate Scotland has a wide mix of habitats across its vast 21,000 acre coverage, which includes high moorland, native woodland of downy birch, alder, willow and hazel, plus meadow and loch side. This mix of rich habitats is one of the factors which make the estate so exceptional, plus it also ensures it has great beauty – even by high Perthshire standards.

The lodge enjoys wonderful views from each of its many rooms, with those to the south being especially impressive as they take in the magnificent Loch Rannoch and the hills beyond. And when we say 'many rooms', there are indeed as Craiganour Lodge can sleep up to 18 guests in its 9 king and twin bedrooms (the twin rooms can be covered to king), all of which have their own private bathroom. The dining hall can accommodate all 18 guests at its table, and the drawing room and common room provide large and comfortable relaxation spaces.

All the facilities you need from Sky TV to a drying room

The facilities at the lodge are also impressive, with everything from a drying and laundry room to ensure our guests have dry and clean clothing if the weather is distinctly Scottish, to Sky TV and a Bose music system in the common room, plus broadband coverage throughout the property.

If you only require some of the lodge's nine bedrooms, then this is absolutely fine and you'll still enjoy exclusive occupancy of the lodge to ensure complete privacy for your family, friends or business colleagues. And how ever many there are in your group, all meals will be prepared by our resident chef and all other duties carried out by the housekeeper.

So to experience a true and exceptional sporting estate in Scotland, come and stay with us at Craiganour Lodge.
