The dining, drawing and common rooms
As would be expected in a property of Craiganour's size and grandeur, it boasts some impressive rooms for our guests to use and enjoy during their stay with us. Starting with the dining room, this can comfortably seat 18, with the room itself providing an airy and inviting space to enjoy all the meals of the day, particularly for dinner in the evening. The room also has an open fire which adds to the atmosphere and enjoyment – especially in the winter months.
The drawing room also has an open fire, and enjoys wonderful views out to Schiehallion and Loch Rannoch. It's a hugely inviting space and one which our guests can relax in at any time of the day.
The common room benefits from a range of facilities including a mini grand piano, plasma television with full Sky package, and a Bose DVD player with surround sound system. This is a spacious room and this, combined with its facilities, also makes it ideal for use as part of a corporate event.
Staying connected and other facilities
The Lodge has wireless broadband throughout so you can stay connected with the outside world, or of course choose not to if that's all part of getting away from it all!
There are full drying room and laundry facilities, which is important for our guests staying with us for sporting activities but also those that enjoy being out in hills walking, bird watching and exploring.
Outside the lodge
The patio and outdoor seating area, overlooking the croquet lawn, is the perfect location to soak up the surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity of the stunning Highland setting (when the Scottish weather permits of course).
There is easy access to the hill or village for walks and also a path down to the loch.
Included in all lets are the services of our warm, friendly and efficient housekeeper who is there to help ensure that our guests have an entirely enjoyable and problem-free stay with us. However, this is of course balanced with the knowledge that our guests may want to have privacy and a principle of ˜there when you need her and not when you don't" is very much how we operate.
